I love a real Christmas tree, and I’m not saying that just because I live in the Balsam Fir Christmas Tree Capital of the World.
I am pretty sure I’m allergic to them.
Actually they think 7 per cent of the population are allergic – they call it Christmas Tree Syndrome.
And we’re not allergic to the tree, but to the mold on the tree.
Here are some tips to minimize your exposure to the tree.
Hose the thing off outside and let it dry.
Then take a leaf blower to it.
Wipe down the trunk while wearing gloves.
Put an air purifier in the same room as the tree.
Chuck it out the day after Christmas.
