Environment Canada has released an advisory for mainland Nova Scotia, warning of an imminent flash freeze.
Following heavy rainfall, temperatures are forecasted to plummet rapidly throughout Saturday.
Anticipated to reach approximately –11°C by evening, untreated surfaces including roads, walkways, and parking lots may quickly become icy and treacherous, posing risks to commuters.

In response to the hazardous weather conditions, Halifax Transit has announced the suspension of its services starting at 1 p.m. AT.
The rainfall is expected to taper off over western Nova Scotia in the morning, gradually clearing through the afternoon for the eastern mainland and Cape Breton.
