Lunenburg’s Chief Administrative Officer, Jamie Doyle, has announced his resignation, effective May 10, 2024.
Doyle cited personal reasons for his decision, stating that he will be relocating back to Alberta in early Spring.
In his statement, Doyle expressed gratitude to Mayor Myra and the entire Council for the opportunity, emphasizing that his decision was made after careful consideration and is not a reflection on the Council’s performance.
“I want to thank Mayor Myra and the entire Council for the opportunity. Please know, this decision was not made lightly and is not a reflection on the performance of this Council. The work this Council and organization have done and will continue to move forward is monumental and will shape the future of Lunenburg for decades to come.”

Mayor Jamie Myra acknowledged Doyle’s contribution, describing him as a valuable colleague and friend, and expressed sadness at his departure while wishing him the best for the future.
