Police in Lunenburg County have arrested three individuals for alleged drug trafficking following a traffic stop in Mahone Bay last month.
On March 20, around 10:10 p.m., officers from the South Shore Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit conducted a targeted traffic stop on Parish St. as part of an ongoing drug investigation.
During the stop, authorities apprehended two men and one woman, all residents of Lunenburg County. Subsequent searches led to the confiscation of cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and several cell phones.
The individuals face charges related to drug trafficking and failure to comply with legal orders.
While one of the individuals was released with conditions, the others appeared in court and were remanded into custody. They are scheduled to return to Bridgewater Provincial Court on June 17.
The investigation remains ongoing, with the South Shore Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit leading the effort.
The South Shore Street Crime Enforcement Unit comprises officers from the Lunenburg District RCMP and the Bridgewater Police Service.
