The impending demise of coffee has been talked about the last few years. Climate change is making bean growing tougher while demand is soaring.
Already there are startups betting that substitutes made out of date seeds and chickpeas are the answer. Supposedly beanless coffee “gives you that legendary coffee taste and all the morning pick-me-up you crave, while also leaving you proud that you’re doing your part to help fix the planet,”
I love coffee although I’m not a big coffee snob. Other than avoiding instant, I could care less whether my coffee beans are freshly roasted or freshly ground.
If coffee disappeared tomorrow I think I could switch to tea. Especially a good Chai tea.
Could you find a substitute for coffee?
