The Municipality of the District of Lunenburg (MODL) is hosting a public workshop to hear from residents on what they’d like to see at Sawpit Wharf Park.
It’s taking place Tuesday, April 23, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m., at the Anglican church in Lunenburg.
MODL is planning some upgrades for the park, but before doing so they want to hear ideas on what should go in the park from residents.
The park is located just outside of Lunenburg on the back harbour, and as it is an MODL property anyone from the municipality is invited to attend.
Currently, the park has green space, a wharf and boat launch as well as other common park fixtures.
In 2007, a concept plan was developed that envisioned new features such as walking trails, an expanded parking area, and other new facilities. Under the guidance of the Sawpit Wharf Advisory Committee, some of these facilities have already been incorporated.
For those unable to attend there is also a survey available online where you can submit your feedback.
