Every home has some household rules. Having been a Dad for many years, my house rule is to turn off lights when you leave a room.
It’s easy to understand and it’s simple to turn off lights.
But it’s the “recycling” house rules that cause me grief.
At least once a week, my wife tells me that I put something in a waste container where it does not belong.
It’s not that I didn’t think it through. I believe it’s more that I “over thought” where said garbage or recyclable should go.
For example, food contaminated packaging is garbage. But if that item has been washed, it’s no longer food contaminated and should go in the recyclables, right?
Not always, it seems.
