RCMP is investigating after the body of a 50-year-old woman was discovered in Lunenburg County.
The first report came in on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. when first responders were called to check out possible human remains in the LaHave River near Pleasantville.
Nova Scotia RCMP is working with the medical examiner’s office to determine the circumstances that led to her death.
At this time, police do not believe her death is a homicide or requires a criminal investigation.
The matter is in the early stages of police work and no additional information will be released right now.
