A man has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of Barry Angus Studley, whose body was found in East Preston, Nova Scotia, in 2022.
The 47-year-old victim was discovered in a van parked behind a strip mall on August 30, 2022, leading police to rule the death a homicide.
Investigators identified the accused, who is already serving a sentence for an unrelated crime in another province, with the help of forensic evidence and tips from the public.
He has also been charged with indignity to human remains.
The accused remains in custody and is expected to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on October 21.
No further arrests are anticipated and Police say the victim and accused were known to each other.
