Parking at the emergency department at the Halifax Infirmary is about to change again.
Nova Scotia Health says the entrance will shift from 1799 Robie Street to 1840 Bell Rd, permanently.
There will be a new drop off area, valet parking and a spot to put your own vehicle, as well as an accessible parking area.
The current temporary drop-off and parking on Robie Street will close.
The emergency department main building entrance will remain the same.
Randi Monro, executive director of health services with Nova Scotia Health says, it is essential in order to build the new Acute Care Tower, which will house a larger emergency department.
“This step is crucial as we move forward with the tower project and the enhancements to our emergency services, ultimately leading to improved healthcare delivery at the QEII.”
It goes into effect, Saturday, December 14.
