The RCMP is looking for information about two recent deaths in Colchester County that have been ruled homicides.
On the evening of December 19, two men—a 27-year-old from Truro and a 25-year-old from Pictou Landing First Nation—were brought to the hospital with serious stab wounds. Investigators believe they were attacked in Colchester County and say the assault wasn’t random.
On December 21, the 25-year-old was found unresponsive at a home on Vincent Drive in Upper Onslow. He died at the scene. The next morning, the 27-year-old was discovered in medical distress at a house on Lavinia Drive in Truro and was also pronounced dead.
The medical examiner confirmed on December 23 that both men died from their injuries.
The RCMP’s Major Crime Unit is leading the investigation with help from Truro Police, forensic teams, and the medical examiner’s office.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP or Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers.
