This decision restores the area to its original residential zoning, reversing a 2021 change to General Commercial.
The rezoning aims to support future development that aligns with the residential character of the neighborhood, known for its heritage properties. By limiting commercial development, the town seeks to preserve the historic feel of the area.
The amendments were reviewed and approved by the Province to ensure compliance with provincial policies, and they took effect on January 6, 2025.
