Hilary Grant, Interim Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for the Town of Lunenburg, has announced her resignation, effective February 25.
Grant has served as Interim CAO since May 2024, taking over after the departure of former CAO Jamie Doyle. She stepped into the role during a period of council transition, providing stability while managing key projects and organizational changes.
Grant explained that her decision to step down will allow Town Council to focus on recruiting a permanent CAO and ensure a smooth leadership transition. She emphasized her commitment to Lunenburg’s success and expressed pride in the progress made during her tenure.
“After careful reflection, I have decided to step away from my role as Interim CAO in support of Council prioritizing the recruitment of a permanent CAO and to ensure a smooth leadership transition for the Town,” said Grant. “I am proud of the progress we have made during my tenure and look forward to advancing key initiatives as Director of Community Development.”
Mayor Jamie Myra praised Grant’s contributions, noting her leadership in guiding the Town through important transitions and supporting the new Council’s work.
Grant will remain with the Town as Director of Community Development, a role she held prior to becoming Interim CAO.
