South Shore Tourism Cooperative has unveiled an innovative Room Availability Calendar on their website, www.visitsouthshore.ca.
This groundbreaking feature aims to transform the way tourists and travelers plan their visits to the picturesque South Shore region of Nova Scotia.
The Room Availability Calendar provides real-time information on the availability of accommodations spanning from Barrington, known as the Lobster Capital of Canada, to Peggy’s Cove, and all the ports and areas in between. This user-friendly tool offers convenience and efficiency, allowing travelers to browse and book accommodations seamlessly, ensuring a stress-free planning process.
Stephanie Miller Vincent, the Coordinator for South Shore Tourism Cooperative, expressed excitement about the introduction of the Room Availability Calendar as a valuable resource for travelers exploring Nova Scotia’s South Shore. With this new feature, visitors will have access to up-to-date information on room availability, empowering them to plan their trips confidently while discovering the exceptional hospitality the South Shore has to offer.
The Room Availability Calendar is available to travelers from near and far, offering a comprehensive overview of the region’s accommodations. Users can personalize their search by filtering based on preferred dates, accommodation type, and specific requirements, ensuring a tailored experience.
The creation of this feature was made possible through a shared vision with Digital Fusion Inc. of Bridgewater. Members of the South Shore Tourism Cooperative were able to access this feature through the Tourism Digital Assistance Program. This program, supported by Tourism Nova Scotia in collaboration with Digital Nova Scotia, aims to assist eligible tourism businesses in enhancing their online visibility and providing services that customers expect, such as online booking.
