An American woman was about to take a job interview, when her friend dared her to do it in a British accent. She said, Sure! – If you pay me. So they sent her 10 bucks and she went to the interview not expecting to get the job, but they hired her on the spot!
Since it was only a summer replacement job, she figured it might be easier to keep the British accent and now seven months later, she’s moved up in the company and has a full time permanent job with them.
But all good things must come to an end, a coworker at the company has become friends with her partner and she knows the jig is almost up.
What would you do? Quit the job and find another one? Come clean with your coworkers and accept their disappointment?
She could decide to use a British accent for the rest of her life, but that might be tough to do.
