The Scotiabank at the intersection of Main and Market streets, is set to close its doors on April 11th.
The move will relocate all customer accounts to Bridgewater.
A notice posted within the Liverpool branch did not provide specific reasons for the closure, leaving both customers and the community curious about the motives behind the decision. The fate of the employees at the Liverpool location remains uncertain, as the bank has not disclosed whether they will be retained or transferred to another branch.
The move comes as part of cuts being made across the Maritime region by Scotiabank who have already announced the closures of three other Nova Scotia branches including Shelburn, Annapolis Royal, and Bridgetown.
