The RCMP are advising motorists to drive with caution on Highway 103, after Tuesday morning saw at least five vehicles slip off the road.
No major injuries were reported, but traffic moved slowly along the 103 near Halifax for most of the morning as motorists navigated the challenging conditions.
Over Monday night most of the South Shore saw rainfall, coupled with below-freezing temperatures that resulted in treacherous driving conditions.
Those conditions are likely to return Tuesday night, with more rain and subzero overnight temperatures once again in the forecast. With that in mind the RCMP are asking motorists to give themselves extra time on the roads Wednesday morning so they can drive in accordance with what will once again be slippery conditions.
