I had never heard of an “empty nest coach” until I read a recent article in the Wall Street Journal.
Turns out they exist and they aren’t cheap! Like $250 an hour!
Who’s in need of an “empty nest coach”?
Helicopter parents who have spent years shepherding their kids from one event to the next and now have an “emotional vacuum”
When my kids left home empty nest syndrome occurred while we had a dog and a barn cat and then found two more feral kittens in the backyard.
All the animals filled that emotional vacuum quite nicely.
And is was a lot cheaper than 250 dollars an hour.
Did you go through empty nest syndrome or do you worry that it’s coming?
Do you plan to get a pet?
