I just read an interesting story on a Reddit subgroup from a 23 year old guy who’s thinking of breaking up with his long time girlfriend because of her unhealthy eating habits.
She won’t eat fruits or vegetables or take multivitamins – just fast food and Mac and cheese.
A year ago her health crashed and she struggled to get out of bed and function properly. He wrote: “The doctor said it was most probably the lack of vitamins and lack of exercise. I bought her some expensive women’s multivitamins. She took them for a week, got better, and then stopped taking them.
She gets frustrated with him when he reminds her to take her multivitamins and usually finds some reason not to take them.
Now she’s “crashing” again and he’s thinking of leaving her because ““I don’t want to marry someone that’s going to be sick all our lives because she doesn’t make the bare minimum effort to be healthy.”
Where her poor health seems to be “self-inflicted” I agree with the guy.
What do you think? Does he make a good argument for leaving?
