The five former Canadian junior hockey players facing charges from an alleged sexual assault will appear in pretrial court this September.
CBC is reporting that during a preliminary hearing in London pretrial dates were set for September 5 and 6.
The five players accused will be required to appear in person for those dates, however, whether virtual appearances will be allowed is still to be determined.
The accused include Dillon Dubé of the Calgary Flames, Carter Hart of the Philadelphia Flyers, Cal Foote and Michael McLeod of the New Jersey Devils and former NHL player Alex Formenton.
All of the players have been charged with one count of sexual assault stemming from an alleged incident that occurred in a London hotel following a Hockey Canada event in 2018.
McLeod is also facing an additional charge of being party to the offence.
The actual trial dates have yet to be determined but may be solidified during additional pretrial hearings scheduled in June.
