The Town of Lunenburg wants to help the Lunenburg Day Care Centre as they continue to work towards building a new facility.
In a release sent out by the town on Thursday, they indicated they are considering using town-owned land for a new mixed-use daycare and recreation building at the recreation complex (located off Victoria Road).
That area is home to many amenities the town believes would complement a daycare centre, like parks, playgrounds, ballfields and nearby schools. Additionally, it is centrally located making it a convenient location for parents dropping off their children.
According to the release the town is considering
The Lunenburg Day Care Centre recently applied to the province for funding for a new building, as the existing facility is at capacity and aging.
The town is now seeking public feedback on their ideas, you can submit feedback via email or written mail sent to Town Hall (PO Box 129, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia B0J 2C0). Feedback submitted will then be added to future council agendas when items related to the new facility are added.
