An 18-year-old Annapolis County man is facing charges after an armed robbery at a grocery store in Middleton.
RCMP say it happened Wednesday, April 9 around 4 p.m. on Commercial Street.
The man showed a knife, punched an employee and demanded cash before running away.
He did not get any money, and the 64-year-old Nictaux woman was treated at the scene.
The suspect was found and arrested the next day while walking along Commercial Street with ammunition and stolen shoes.
He will appear in Digby Court, Friday, to face these charges:
- Robbery
- Disguise with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence
- Assault Causing Bodily Harm
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
- Theft
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Contravention of Storage Regulation
Two other armed robberies involving a man with a knife happened Monday, on Commercial Street in Middleton, as well as another one on April 3.
Police have not confirmed any connection between these and the robbery on April 9.
