South West Health is recognizing two special nurses who have recently been given impressive honours. Coralie Comeau has been given the 2014 Award of Excellence which recognizes an LPN who provides a high degree of caring and compassion in direct patient care. Meanwhile, Maria Marshall has received the Excellence in Preceptorship Award which recognizes RN’s that act as role models to new nurses. An event to recognize the two local nurses was held yesterday in Yarmouth. The Nova Scotia College of LPN’s and the RN’s Professional Development Centre present annual awards which recognize nurses for their accomplishments and passion for their job.
