Any young people who ever wanted to learn about filmmaking will want to check out this weekend’s Youth Documentary Workshop which is being put on by the Lunenburg Documentary Festival (LDF).
The workshops start Saturday, Jan. 10th at 10 a.m. at the Eurocentre Academy. The daily sessions which will take place over the next two weekend usually run until 4 p.m.
Participants will get to work on a film from start to finish according to President of the LDF Pamela Segger.
“They go from start to finish. Participants will get to try different roles sometimes wearing the hat of a director sometimes a camera operator. By the end of the second weekend, they should have a finished film.
She says that the participants will then get a chance to see their films on the big screen as they will be shown as part of the LDF in September.
If anyone is interested there are still a few spots available but Segger recommends registering before Saturday morning, you can sign up through the LDF site.
