Last week the South Shore Peewee B Lumberjacks found out they would be Nova Scotias representatives in the finals of Chevrolet Canada’s Good Deeds Cup.
According to Ashley Mills the team manager, The team decided to participate in the event back this fall when one of the coaches heard about it.
The Jacks fundraised for the veterans at Fishermans Memorial Hospital by bagging groceries around the South Shore. In just two hours they raised over $2,000.

Voting closes on February 10th. After this round of voting the field will be narrowed down to three finalists. The winner will receive $100,000 to a charity of their choice.
The team learned they were finalist’s over the weekend and according to Mills the players were very excited “We had a party Saturday night to celebrate all that been going on and the boys are all just ecstatic.”
