The province says they will be limited information about new cases of COVID-19 after being inundated with calls from people accusing people of not isolating.
With cases up until this point, the province provided information like the age of the patient as well as their regional location.
Dr. Robert Strang says people need to focus on helping each other out not trying to get people in trouble “It seems like everyone out there is trying to solve COVID, figure out who has it and tell on them for not self-isolating. That’s not appropriate.”
He went on to say that NSHA officials closely monitor all cases and diligently inform anyone who may have come into contact in order to best prevent spread.
Overall he says that the vast majority of Nova Scotians that should be isolating are doing so. If people are not self-isolating and you believe they should he recommends trying to speak with them about the importance to do so. If it can be done so while maintaining safe social distancing practices.
