S.H.A.I.D Animal Shelter Notice During COVID-19

We received the following statement from the SHAID Tree Animal Shelter:

To help ensure SHAID’s pets and staff remain healthy and to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, we are putting the following restrictions in place for all volunteers and visitors. These will remain effective until stated otherwise.

You can help us by:

1. Please DO NOT visit the shelter unless you are seriously looking to adopt one of our pets.

2. Visitors are asked to NOT visit the shelter if you are feeling unwell or if you have travelled out of province.

3. Visitors MUST sign in when they arrive, and use the sanitizer provided.

4. Volunteers are kindly asked to not come in until told otherwise.

5. Meeting dogs will be by appointment ONLY.

6. Staff will only be letting a limited number of visitors in the shelter at one time.

7. Visitors must sanitize when entering any room and when leaving a room.

Staff will be diligently disinfecting the shelter numerous times throughout the day with a commercial grade cleaner and javex to ensure all our staff, residents and visitors remain healthy. This includes cleaning commonly touched areas like our reception desk, door handles, telephones and sanitizer stations.

We must do our part to keep this virus from spreading. We will get through this trying time by working together.
