The NSHA announced this morning that the South Shore Walk-In Clinic has made changes to its location, and how patients can access care, in order to continue to provide service to the community under these current circumstances.
In a media release, the NSHA said starting Thursday, patients with appointments will need to go to the South Shore Medical Arts Building and enter the building via the side door (facing the Bank of Montreal).
The clinic will also become appointment only, no walk-ins will be accepted.
In order to make an appointment you can contact them at (902)-527-5239, patients should expect to be asked questions about things like travel history and who they’ve been in close contact with. Depending on the answers they may be directed to call 811.
The clinic will work to provide telephone consultations with patients when appropriate. The patient will be triaged, and a decision on if a face-to-face visit is required will be made by the nurse, at the time of appointment booking.
