A plan announced by the Trump administration will mean Canada will continue to receive N95 masks from 3M in the United States.
166.5 million respirators will be shipped from the 3M production facility in China to the United States over the next three months to support healthcare workers.
This plan will allow 3M to continue sending US produced respirators to Canada and Latin America.
They are the primary source of supply for N95 masks.
Earlier this week, President Trump officials told the production facility to stop sending N95 masks to Canada.
Our collaboration doesn’t stop here. We will continue to work with @FEMA to ensure that respirators get to those who need them most. Read more: https://t.co/MXz9l4g0w5 #COVID19 https://t.co/eHHTcj7D1S
