The South Shore Regional Hospital is expanding its parking starting today.
In a release from the Nova Scotia Health Authority, they announced today that crews would be starting to cut trees in order to make room for the new spaces.
Tree cutting could take a few days and they advise anyone walking the area to observe caution.
The expansion will add 33 parking spaces for patients and staff, the NSHA says currently the lot is often at capacity.
Construction is expected to be completed in August and the NSHA says that they will be replanting trees to offset the environmental impact where possible.
