Police have laid charges in relation to a robbery in Bridgewater earlier this week.
Bridgewater Police Services have charged 29-year-old Justin Croft with Robbery, Assault with a Weapon and Resisting Arrest after a robbery at Shoppers Drug Mart Tuesday.
Officers responded to a robbery in progress call at the pharmacy in the South Shore Centre just before 4 pm, where a man had demanded prescription pills and assaulted a pharmacy staff member.
When police arrived, they found the man behind the pharmacy counter and arrested him onsite.
Police say they found an undetermined amount of prescription drugs, but wouldn’t specify where, or comment on the weapon used in the assault.
Croft is in custody and was expected to show in Bridgewater Provincial Court today.
