This is something that has been driving me nuts over the past few weeks. It may have been an issue before that, but I can’t remember. Mostly because it wasn’t an issue.
But for some reason, every time I go into a store or do something like pump gas, my nose will start to itch.
I can go for days without a tickle or a twitch or anything that would cause me to touch my face. But as soon as I am in a situation where I know I can’t touch my face, my face tries to make me touch it.
So far I have managed to avoid it. You have to be thinking about it though. I would probably be touching my face if I was not actually trying not to. It’s almost as if my body was somehow plotting against me.
The opposite also seems to be true. Once I return to the car, liberally dose my hands with sanitizer, the itch seems to magically disappear.
Maybe it’s the fact that I am actually trying to avoid touching my face that makes my nose itch. The thought of it somehow triggers the itch. I have no idea. It’s annoying. But so far I have managed to conquer the urge.
If nothing else, it makes me feel like I am accomplishing something.
