Dayspring Fire Department spearheaded efforts from multiple fire departments this morning to put out a house fire in Dayspring.
The homeowner who asked to remain anonymous said that everyone who lives in the house was able to make it out safely but they were still unaware of the whereabouts of the three cats that live with them.
The homeowners discovered the fire in the early hours the morning and they believe the fire started outside of the residence and then spread to the building.
The building appeared to have sustained major damage and was still smoking at around 8 a.m. this morning.
The fire took place along Hirtle Road in Dayspring which had to be blocked off for a few hours though it was towards the end of the dead-end street and as such did not cause much of a disturbance to traffic.
Fire crews are expected to be around that area for some time today as they monitor the property and investigate the cause of the fire.
