The newest members of the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg Council were sworn in this week, marking one of the last steps before they are fully entrenched in their next roles.
Councillors now await their various committee appointments which will place them in key positions in various sectors of the municipal government.
According to Mayor Carolyn Bolivar Getson, the nominating committee has already met and will announce the appointments at next Tuesday’s council meeting.
She added that the swearing-in process went smoothly and almost all of the councillors had the maximum amount of spectators they were allowed under COVID-19 health protocols.
