Who do you call when the fire department is on fire?
That’s exactly what the Liverpool Fire Department were tasked with when a fire broke out in their fire hall this morning.
A call went out around 8:40 am for departments in the surrounding area to assist the department, with Port Medway, Greenfield and North Queens Fire Departments quickly arriving to the scene.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, said Liverpool Fire Chief Trevor Monroe at the time.
“We’re still investigating, but we had a fire in our fire hall truck bay area,” he said.
“The fire damage was contained to the workshop area, The fire trucks and everything else is okay.”
Luckily, the fire wasn’t substantial, and Monroe said it was quickly contained.
