Quebec has implemented a curfew. You’re not allowed to leave your property after 8pm unless you have to take your dog out to do their business.

A couple have been fined $3,000 after breaking curfew after a wife walked her husband on a leash.
Police determined that her husband is not a dog and that a fine was justified.
People are into some weird things, and I’m not going to comment or judge, but… If you’re going to take your significant other out for a walk through town while they’re on four legs… just do it before the curfew goes into effect. It’ll be much more cost effective.
