The three candidates from the three major parties in Lunenburg West will be meeting up for a debate this Tuesday.
The event is being put on by the Bridgewater and Area Chamber of Commerce at the Bridgewater United Church.
Executive Director of the Chamber Dan Hennesey says each candidate will start with five minutes for opening remarks before moving on to questions.
Hennesey says they plan to ask five questions to each of the candidates which they have been sent in advance of the debate. If time allows questions from the audience will also be taken.
“The questions definitely focus on a lot of issues being faced by businesses but many of them impact other facets of life people are concerned with.”
The three candidates attending the debate are; Liberal candidate Jennifer Naugler, NDP Mereydie Ross and PC Becky Druhan. Hennesey says they also extended an invitation to Green candidate Eric Green but he declined the offer.
When speaking to Hennesey on Friday he said there was limited ticket availability left but they have since sold out over the weekend.
Those unable to attend the event, it will be live-streamed on the Chambers’ Facebook page, starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 10.
