The crew for the Netflix series Locke and Key return to Lunenburg this week as they begin filming season three of the fantasy TV series.
The Town of Lunenburg issued a filming notice to residents this week letting them know what they can expect to see around town.
In the notice, they said crews will be filming at three locations next week and the shoots will have an impact on local traffic.
On Monday, September 13 the following areas will be affected;
- Rum Row closed 7:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
- Bluenose Drive east of Rum Row local access only 9:00a.m.-2:00p.m., 6:00 p.m.-11:00p.m.
- King Street partial closure 1:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
The production will also begin reserving parking areas for equipment on Saturday, Sep 11 starting at 6:00 pm on blocks of Bluenose Drive, Montague Street, King Street, Pelham Street.
Traffic will be intermittently blocked on Bluenose Drive east of Rum Row on Friday, Sep 10 between 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m.
In previous seasons the show has utilized Lunenburg for many of it’s exterior shots while most of the interior sets have been filmed at locations in Toronto.
