The gift from the heart radiothon raised over $125,000 for the Health Services Foundation of the South Shore.
Fundraising took place all day yesterday, with businesses, services clubs and individuals digging deep in their wallets.
This year, the money will be used to purchase a new washer disinfector that will clean and sterilize operating utensils and more for South Shore Regional Hospital along with Fisherman’s Memorial in Lunenburg and Queens General in Liverpool.
Donations are still being accepted by text message until the end of February.
To donate, text “wash” to 4-5-6-7-8 and respond yes when prompted with a question.
