Bridgewater Town Council is looking to make their parks more appealing and vibrant spaces this summer and to do so they will be giving vending permits the authority to operate in the town’s green spaces.
On Monday, Council approved an amendment to the town’s vending bylaws to allow vending at any park or recreation facility in the town.
Currently, the town lists 25 locations on its green spaces page, which include parks, museums and sports fields.
Vending permits are $25 to operate for one week, $75 for one month, and $200 for a year.
One exception the town noted includes Shipyards Landing, which they say will not be included in the permitting process this summer as ongoing work to the nearby pump station and forcemain upgrade project make it unfeasible.
It appears the town is open to a variety of types of vendors operating in their parks as they stated in a Facebook they will allow “food trucks, yoga classes, or something else entirely,”.
