A company based in Mahone Bay that makes frozen microwavable lobster is set to appear on CBC’s business pitch show Dragons Den.
Lobster Made Easy founder Mark Lowe has already delivered his pitch to the Dragons but until the episode airs on September 15 he is unable to talk about whether a deal was struck.
In the promo for the season premiere, which will feature the Lobster Made Easy pitch, Lowe can be heard claiming his microwavable lobster can replicate the quality of freshly boiled live lobster.
“Lobster Made Easy (LME), featuring Nova Scotia’s, Victoria Co-operative Fishermen’s Ltd lobster, makes cooking lobster, and enjoying it, easy – no mess, no smell. Thinking literally ‘outside the pot’, our patent pending MICROWAVEABLE lobster is convenient, easily prepared , nutritious, delicious and ready to eat from freezer to plate in less than 7 minutes!!!” – Lowe states.
The episode is set to air at 8:00 p.m., after which Lowe will be free to talk about the details of any deal that was made.
”It was a thrill, and honour, to present our lobster products, including our lobster roll, to the Dragons – meeting Robert Herjavec, Arlene Dickinson, Michele Romanow, Manjit Minhas, Vincenzo Guzzo and Wes Hall,” Lowe said.
