Upon arrival, RCMP discovered a 21-year old Meteghan man was shot in the leg by a man known to him following an altercation.
The victim sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The suspect, who RCMP have identified as 29-year-old Mitchel Mannette (of Dartmouth) fled the scene in red Honda Civic with Nova Scotia plate HBT-251.
